What is a hot-swappable rectifier?

A hot-swappable (hot-pluggable) rectifier can be inserted or removed while the power system stays live and the load keeps running. Eltek Flatpack2 and Flatpack S rectifiers are hot-swappable, so a faulty module can be replaced in minutes without interrupting the site, and capacity can be added as the load grows. In N+1 designs the remaining rectifiers carry the load during the swap.
