A PDU (power distribution unit) distributes electrical power to the IT equipment in racks and data centers. KPS supplies Delta PDUs in Egypt: ViLink smart rack PDUs (metered and switched, with remote monitoring and outlet control), ViFlow rack PDUs (basic and metered) and data center PDUs from 225 to 950 kVA.
What is the difference between basic, metered and smart PDUs?
A basic PDU simply distributes power to its outlets. A metered PDU adds a local current display and, optionally, network monitoring. A smart (switched) PDU adds remote outlet on/off control, power sequencing and detailed energy data over the network.
How do I choose a rack PDU?
Match the PDU input (single- or three-phase, 16 A or 32 A plug) to the rack power feed, choose the number and type of outlets (IEC C13 / C19), select horizontal 1U or vertical 0U mounting, and decide whether you need metering or remote switching. KPS can also supply the battery backup systems that feed your racks.
