The Eltek Smartpack R is the replacement controller for first-generation Smartpack 1 units (sold 2005–2018). It has the same form factor, dimensions and connections, so it drops straight into existing mid-range Eltek power systems and brings them up to current requirements: Ethernet with IPv6, an HTML5 web interface, SNMPv3, Modbus and full battery management. Upgrading the controller extends system life and avoids investing in a new power system.
